Club Announcement: Former player Frank Toman has passed

Derby RFC are sad to hear of the death of former player Frank Toman. Frank arrived in Derby from Ireland in 1988 as a distinguished Gaelic Football Player. He quickly settled into the Derby 2nd team as an experienced fullback in a young back line.

Along with his hockey-playing wife Janice, he was a popular member of the club and always had a smiling face, a friendly chat and some good forthright banter. Frank played his last game for the Vets at 50, was a participant in the 3 peaks walks in the early 2000s and was a regular tourist. His son, Rory, played for Derby throughout the Juniors.

RIP Frankie.
