This week, Derby Colts travelled to Stoke as our original fixture was cancelled.
Stoke started strong with Derby surviving 20 minutes of pressure before getting a break to go over the line for the first try of the match which was not converted. A battle between both teams continued with Derby managing to get through to score a second try which was converted.
The first half ended 0-12.
Derby upped their game in the second half and were better at the breakdown but Stoke managed to get through our defence for a converted try.
Derby continued to fight and this paid off with another converted try. Stoke countered and managed to break through our defence for an unconverted try.
Derby hung on and defended well in the last 10 minutes to make the final score 12-19 to Derby. A great win and a very close and enjoyable match. Well done to all.
