“IT’S A BEAUTIFUL DAY, THE SUN IS SHINING AND YOU’RE OUT WITH YOUR MATES PLAYING RUGBY, GO AND HAVE FUN AND ENJOY YOURSELF.”
Our Touch section (Derby Touch Club) is the newest section to join the club and is open for all club members to take part in.
Touch is a mixed sport open to players of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and experience. Whether you have played rugby for years or have never touched a ball before, the Touch section provides a welcoming home for you.
At its highest level, Touch is an incredibly fast and dynamic sport but the non-impact nature of the sport makes it approachable for everyone. Juniors train and play alongside the women and men in the Touch section and everyone walks away with a big smile at the end of the evening.
The England Touch Association has some guides on how to play but the best way is just to come along to a session and give it a try.
When are sessions?
Weekly sessions are at Haslams on Wednesday evenings, currently starting at 7.00pm. Finish times vary slightly depending on the season (and the weather!)
We are not currently part of a regular league but look for fixtures with other local Touch clubs, as well as taking part in tournaments around the region. These are open to all members to join in with.
How do I get involved or get more information
Our Committee members are always available to talk to you, explain things around the club, answer questions or help with any concerns. Contact them through the form below.
You can also find Derby Touch Club on Facebook for more information and can also message us there.
All ages and abilities are welcome
We look forward to sharing with you the enjoyment that rugby brings to all involved
