The under 16’s NLD semi-final took place at a very sunny Matlock. Derby commanded the game from the start with outstanding gameplay and teamwork.
They were powerful in the scrums, assertive in the lineouts and showed pure strength when holding the opposition up in the maul. The offloading down the line was accurate with fast hands and great spatial awareness. Matlock fought valiantly but it was Derby’s day with 9 tries and 5 conversions before the match was called with about 14 minutes to go.
55-0 win to Derby.
Great ref, really fair and explained any mistakes clearly to the boys.
