We are delighted to be hosting the SHOUTaboutSEND 5k & Inclusive Sports festival on May 14th. The event includes a 5k / 2.5k and a sensory circuit so whether you are looking to set a personal best, take up a fitness challenge or simply have lots of fun…..this is the event for you!. In addition to the 5k, we will also have an event village showcasing a variety of inclusive sports opportunities including volleyball, cricket, cycling & many more!
Following the 5k will be a Mixed Ability Rugby match between our very own Derby Bucks & The Bradford BumbleBees. This is the final game for the Bucks before they head to Cork in June representing the club at the IMART World Cup.
The event is designed to promote and develop opportunities for young people and adults with additional needs to take part and compete in sporting events and gain meaningful employment.
Students are taking the lead in the organisation of this event as part of their innovative curriculum and will be supporting event logistics, refreshments (inc BBQ, cakes & coffees) leading on marketing and also designing, making and selling merchandise for the event.
This inclusive event is open to all regardless of age and ability. We hope that all teams across the club will be able to support the event and of course the Bucks in what promises to be a great day!
All participants will receive a medal, goodie bag & complimentary water
