This week Derby Colts welcomed Burton Colts to a sunny Haslams Lane.
The match started very physically with Derby taking an early lead.
Derby continued to take the opportunities which came to them and were rewarded with a second try.
Burton came back and broke through Derby’s defence for their first try of the match. Derby countered with another two which made the halftime score 24-5 to Derby.
The second half was just as physical with Derby showing great support play and a willingness to run from anywhere. Showing some great ball-in-hand skills, Derby broke through Burton’s defence a further four times in the second half to make the final score 50-5 to Derby.
A great match by all and a great win for Derby.
