8 October Colts Game Report: Derby 33-26 Uttoxeter

This week, Derby Colts welcomed Uttoxeter to a beautiful sunny Haslams Lane.

Derby started strong with a very early converted try. Both teams battled hard and Uttoxeter came through with their first converted try of the match. Things stayed very even with another converted try each to finish the first half 14 all.

Derby started the second half well and again showed dominance in the scrum.

Derby settled down into their rhythm of recycling the ball which led to a further try of which the conversion was missed.
Uttoxeter came back for another but this was not converted either which kept the score tied.
Derby moved the ball well even with a few errors.

Unfortunately, Uttoxeter had some injuries and were down to 13 players. Derby also dropped numbers to make a fair contest.
Derby went over the line with two more converted tries and Uttoxeter counted with a try near the end which made the final score 33-26 to Derby.

Both teams put in a massive shift which resulted in a great game of rugby.

Derby hopes all Uttoxeter injured players soon recover.
